This project was created at the request of the late Dina Givon, a multi-talented and beloved Hebrew School teacher, who said, “Enough with the dreidels! I want Yehudim giborim! Give me a Maccabee!” Children create pictures of a Maccabee boy or girl. This project requires little supervision. Many children add their own interpretative elements of the Maccabee story to their picture.
